Popular Tour – Main Beach to The Spit

Explore this magnificent stretch of coastline:

BIKE PATH and BUSH TRACK – also known as Federation Walk this ride takes approximately approximately 1 ½ hours and starts at the Southport Lifesaving Club and follows the beachside bike track past the Sheraton Resort, after which the track turns into a dirt track which continues either through the bush or along the ocean way to the seaway – continue along the track always following the tracks on the beach side until you reach the sand pumping jetty, continue under the jetty until you reach the spit wall.  Return via the same track or take the road bikeway along Seaworld Drive. On the way follow the road alongside the Broadwater and the Marine Stadium, a sheltered bay. Stop for a fresh prawns lunch purchased from the fishing trawlers.
